Fuller residence

The Fuller Residence occupies a prominent site in the downtown historic district of Boca Grande on the corner of Banyan Street and Park Street.  Its close proximity to a beautiful and quaint Catholic Chapel led to a design concept in which the residence became the fictional parsonage for the church.  The resulting design is a simplified version of the chapel's architecture with stuccoed gable end parapets and a deeply recessed entry, giving the impression of a thick walled, heavy building.  The house is flanked by wood porches, one addressing Park Avenue and the other overlooking a private garden.  The courtyard, with a pool and wall fountain, is formed by the arrangement of house, garage/studio and garden walls.
